I had this problem when I added an ICQ contact, I didn't try it with other
accounts, and I didn't try to reproduce it yet, but I think it's just some
missing connect in the model:

Steps to reproduce:

* Start the contact list
* Add a new contact
  - Status is correctly not shown as the other user didn't authorize us yet
* The other person accept the request
  - Status is still not shown
  - Expected result: Status is shown
* Close and restart contact list
  - Status is now shown
