Well I just tried and went through the atrocity that is an empathy
installation, including dependencies that I never wanted to have any trace of
on my system, only to find out that it would not let me open any chat windows,
a bug that seems to be known for months. It seems telepathy clients have
combined forces against any attempts to dig deeper here. ;)
