Discussed before. (inc KDE usability ML)

No it shouldn't. Loading a chat is not the primary action, selecting is. Single
click is used to select. The double click is just a handy _additional_ shortcut
to right click->start chat.

We even trialled it (I did anyway) for a week to see if it was usable. It was
not.
