try following kde-discuss at opensolaris.org (CC'd); discussions about the 
effort of porting KDE4 to (Open)Solaris happen there. You could also go to 
techbase.kde.org, search for "Solaris" and look at the results - you'll 
find quite some information there; I used what I found there to install 
KDE4 on the OpenSolaris box I'm writing this on, and am quite happy with 
what I got.
