I just installed onto a spare 40G drive; the installer says about 5G for SXDE.

Here's my df:

-bash-3.00$ df -h

                        58G 9.3G 44G 18% /mnt/KDE4

As you can see, of my actual physical disk there's now 8G in use; KDE4 sources
are on NFS and that includes a FreeBSD builddir -- count on about 6G for a
regular source checkout, half if you're working from tarballs.

Bear in mind I only have the most minimal of dependencies for kdelibs
installed right now.

tosti386$du -hs /mnt/src/KDE4/kde*

 11M /mnt/src/KDE4/kdetoys
 26M /mnt/src/KDE4/kdeutils
tosti386$du -hs /usr/local/KDE4/
1.6G /usr/local/KDE4/

Those are on a FreeBSD machine, though. That means that KDE actually compiles,
which it doesn't under Solaris.
