[kde-solaris] Weird konsole behavior

For a while, "konsole" was working just fine for me.  However, I just 
reinstalled on a different machine (fresh install of Solaris).  Now, often at 
the end of various compiles where it bombs during linking, konsole just 
freezes for that session.  It won't accept any input in the terminal window 
at all.  (Though the menus, and any other tabs open do work fine)
