Also, libjpeg should be a shared library (.so) not a static library. I would first build libjpeg (and png) as shared libraries with the same prefix, and then make sure LD_LIBRARY_PATH includes the $PREFIX/lib directory. The error may be because most people have a shared libjpeg and linking in a static one doesn't get much testing.

Subject: [kde-solaris] kde 3.4 solaris
Hi there
well after the advise from Mats Rojestal last night, im now 3 hours into compile time of kdelibs 3.4, (sunblade 100) when i stumbled on another error.
this is after recompiling qt 3.3.3, arts, and adding cups, openssl, autoconf, m4, to the --prefix tree.
the last few lines and the error are as a result of the khtml part of kdelibs failing.
(i simply cd's into khtml and run make after the first fail to confirm it was the section at fault)

yet again any pointers, or expirienced views are welcome, in what is looking like a long struggle to get kde 3.4 to build on solaris 10 (sparc)
