Well you are not supposed to find these two libraries
You are supposed to load them from /opt/fsw4sun/lib

My guess is that you have an overriding LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Env variable set somewhere that overrides the values
in  /opt/kde-3.1.4/bin/startkde  script, which allows
ld.so.1  to load libraries from wrong places,
libraries that are built with GCC pherhaps and thus
slightly out of sync with Studio 8 built binaries like
KDE3.1.4
