[kde-solaris] KDE 3.1.4 Artsd is preventing sound output ? !

Hi all,

   O.K.  I have installed the KDE 3.1.4 binary package
  on A Sunblade  with solaris8. And also Stefans latest
  patch from Christmas eve. So now it starts up without
  any manual intervention. ( chmod:ing /tmp/username )

  My problem now is "artsd"

   It uses up about 20%  of the CPU when the machine is idle.
   Only after I kill artsd,  can I hear sounds from the desktop
   environment, like window pop-up , iconify a.s.o.
   Somehow "artsd" is blocking other apps from making sounds.

   I dont hear the splash screen jingle at all.

   If I do something CPU intensive while "artsd" is running ,
   like "kpovmodeller/povray" it affects performance of the
   application a lot .

   If some traces are need to resolv this please ask .
   I just did not want to put Megabytes of data in the
   Mailforum.
