[kde-solaris] Solaris 9 64 bit startup problem -- one other thing

Okay.  After making the corrections you suggested and fixing the
permissions on artswrapper, I have fixed the  looping problem of
artsshell.  I also now notice that, if I do not close the kde debug error
window, KDE does come up completely, and it seems to function absolutely
normally.  However, the moment I close the error window, KDE immediately
shuts down.  This all occurs when I manually run startkde from CDE.  I
have not been able to check dtlogin as I am not at home now to try.  I
will check that as soon as I get home.

One other thing:

Could you please check the permissions on the following three
directories:

/tmp/.ICE-unix
/tmp/.X11-unix
/tmp/.X11-pipe

They should be 0777 with the sticky bit set.

Here's my little kchmod C program which does just that at kde startup
-- you can compile it, install it in ${KDE}/bin with permissions 4755
owned by root, and then add it somewhere at the beginning of startkde
before anything kde-related starts happening:
