[kde-solaris] KDE screenlock/unlock

Good morning, all,
 
We have just installed Sun Solaris 9 803 along with KDE 3.1 from the Sun's Companion CD.
Everything works just fine except when I am running the KDE Desktop and lock the screen,
no matter what I do I cannot unlock the screen, I just get "failed". We have looked at Sun's
Bug Reports and have found BugID 4668744, complaining of the same problem using Solaris 8.
 
Has anyone run across this problem?  What can we do to resolve the problem?
