Check the permissions on your Qt directory. I know mine had weird
permissions.

Subject: [kde-solaris] strange hangs
I've got Qt 3.1.1 + KDE 3.1 built using gcc 3.2.1, but when I try to login
and run KDE, the first login always freezes during KPersonalizer, usually
before it even displays a window. If I kill KPersonalizer, startup
continues, but soon hangs in some other app. The hanging actually seems
kind of nondeterministic, although it's probably not. Logging stderr
doesn't reveal much that's any help. Has anyone had this problem or one
like it?
