[kde-solaris] KDE 3.1.4 binary packageing

just a comment on this thread.
I don't know much about building packages for sun.
What I know is, that I have been waiting a long time for using KDE on 
Solaris. and with
Stefan works we are able to do so now.

It performs great, and most things are working here.
I think, if somebody is unhappy with the names of the packages,
he can build them for his own with Stefans patches (and of course 
provide them).

We all had a great benefit of the work of volunteers on the open source 
So I think we should try to motivate them, provide bug-reports etc.

I think a discussion like this may ("you really need to ...") may be 
very discouraging.

>Regardless of what it says, it PRACTICE, packages from SUN start with SUNW and packages from third parties start with something different (e.g. CTXS for Citrix). You will note that the Software Companion CD packages start with SFW and these come from SUN. The original poster is correct -- SUNW implies the packages came from SUN. You really need to rename the packages.
