Question about mentoring

Hello,

My name is Dale and I'm a student. I was very busy for the beginning of
this year and unfortunately I missed the contributor application deadline.
I have been using KDE for a long time and am very passionate about trying
to start contributing, and I was wondering if there was any way if I could
still find a mentor in any way at all. I would appreciate any response.
Thank you so much, I realize this is a lot to ask.
