Intrested in Open Source Development

I am currently a 2nd year student pursuing bachelors in IT .I am got
interested in open source development by using open source libraries in
python such as Numpy , pandas etc.I want to learn more about it and
contribute in the open source community.I can develop in
Python,C++(Preffered KDE lang?),Java,Javascript.As KDE is one of the open
source community out there i would like to know how should i start
contributing.
