How do I compile a debug version of svn2git?

I am just wondering how I compile a debug version of svn2git. In this stack

A lot of the trace is optimised out, and I can't see what actually
happened. The crash report doesn't have any information that I can figure
out. So, I was hoping to compile a debug version of svn2git.
