Yes:

1) The conversion is far from complete in my eyes,
    with even various SC modules not migrated yet.

2) This list has occassionally been used to discuss
    how to accomplish <something> with git, and I think
    it's a good idea to continue to have a list for
    that purpose.

3) git is always evolving; there may one day be a
    need to discuss how we want to use a particular
    new feature.

4) KDE has switched SCMs twice so far, one day we
    may again.

If you no longer have time to deal with moderation
I volunteer to take over.
