I think its fine, the amount of projects reflects the wide amount of, well,
projects that KDE hosts.
Nothing wrong with that.

I think it does. Any grouping is artificial and makes unrelated people work
together for no good reason.

The artificial adding of KDE there is not really useful. A top level project
called 'kdebase' or 'kdelibs' is what I expect.
