[Kde-scm-interest] How do I convert playground/pim/kode to git?

I would like to convert the kode module from playground/pim to git. It's more 
or less an independent module, which could live just anywhere, so I'd like to 
do that independent of the grand KDE git migration.

Question is how do I do that? I read the pages on techbase and they say I need 
a copy of the svn repo. As I neither have bandwidth nor diskspace to handle 
that right now, I'm wondering, if there is an alternative. Is there?

I'm also lacking some basic explanation of the conversion tool. I have looked 
at the example rule files, but some rudimentary documentation about what the 
tool actually does would still be nice. Is this somewhere?
