Because of RL and work issues, it has been kind of delayed. I'm
working on it though with a couple of friends and we should have a
working demo in hopefully a month or something.

Google have tons of links if you search for "svn to git", anyway,
Thiago and other people already wrote a great script to do the export.

You can digitally sign commits with Git and most DVCS, that can be useful.
