We have developers at Trolltech using msysgit, which seems to be the 
suggested platform, from what I gather.

It works fine, except that it's nowhere as fast as on Linux. Files and 
processes are much slower on Windows than on Linux. It's still damn fast, 
though.

msysgit is a complete installation of POSIX tools but without using 
cygwin1.dll. The POSIX tools are necessary because many of the git helper 
scripts are written in sh or perl.
