Which is why I said I don't mind a blank slate in KDE.git. If you need to 
check out a particular pre-Git revision, you have the SVN revision numbers. 
And it's fairly easy to write a script that parses the output of git-log (or 
git-rev-list) and finds the matching or closest Git commit.
