There really isn't much of a kpdf development team any more, since development 
of kpdf stopped with KDE3.

Okular is the functional replacement in KDE4.

I'd suggest that you either put in a bug report (if it is a bug or security 
issue) or ask on the normal channels (e.g. the kde at kde.org mailing list, or 
an IRC equivalent). 

This isn't the right place for user questions.
