closing bugs on bugs.kde.org?

I saw a previous post on this list, so hope this is the right place to ask.
I'd like to help out closing invalid/fixed/old bugs on the bugs.kde.org.
Currently I don't believe I have permission to close bugs, so I can only
comment on them. Could I be given this privaledge so I can help out cleaning
out the old bugs? My bugs account is under jetster at gmail.com
