The only thing I'd say is send the patch to the appropriate list: see 
https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-pim for KDEPIM.

Also, make sure you're developing with KDE 4.  KDE 3 development has 
basically stopped for everything but bugfixes.
