CD Ripping Kio-Slave

Hi, this may, or may not be the right place to ask. (In fact it probably 
isn't, but it would save me having to join yet another list simply to 
ask one question if someone could answer anyway). But in any case when I 
put a CD in my drive and navigate to system:/media/hdb (which is my CD 
drive) I am presented with a number of formats that I can rip the CD to. 
My question I hope therefore is simple. How can I control the quality 
setting of this very neat functionality? Right now it seems stuck on the 
lowest bitrate possible.
