i'm skeptical of buttons that change meaning based on modalities that are for
most intents and purposes technical details (how much of the page has loaded,
for instance). overloading widgets with multiple meanings has a usability
cost associated with it; having lots of buttons also does, but generally less
(unless you have insane numbers of buttons). also last time i looked at this
issue in detail i found a number of corner cases where one will want to load
before the page is "completely" loaded (i didn't keep the list, unfortunately
=/ ).
given that both firefox and IE keep these buttons separate is quite
interesting.
