I applied the patch and KPacman compiles cleanly (FreeBSD 6.0, KDE 3.4.2). I 
haven't been able to run it though: 

$ /usr/local/kde/bin/kpacman
kpacman: WARNING: KXMLGUIClient::setXMLFile: cannot find .rc file kpacmanui.rc
The bitfont could not be contructed.

The file 'fonts/font.xbm' does not exist,
or is of an unknown format.
QWidget::setMaximumSize: (unnamed/Referee) The largest allowed size is 
(32767,32767)
KCrash: Application 'kpacman' crashing...

I'll look into the problem in the coming days.

PS: I replied to JRT personally to state that I'm interested in maintaining 
this project. It occurs to me now that this was not the right action to take 
since this is a public project :) Sorry about that, I have never taken over 
the maintainership of a project before :)
