I apologise for the confusion here. Somehow I got the impression that
Beagle itself is a perfectly sensible Linux daemon written in plain C.
Sigh.. I've been dreaming again...
Hopefully Tenor will be more desktop independent, in the sense that
it won't be hard to make non-KDE applications talk to Tenor without
creating dependencies on KDE components. Maybe DBUS can help there...
