That is odd, on my KDE system all that is needed to view a BZip2ed tar file is 
to left click it.

But if the policy for the list is that you would prefer that attached patches 
not be compressed I will do it that way.  All that is necessary is to advise me 
of the policy without telling me that my work is nonsense.
