Hi,

and here they come:

1. "working code decides", IOW, the strongest argument is to actually do 
something (even if maybe the other side won in a discussion but doesn't 
implement their solution). This also applies to non-coding tasks.

2. choose an application/library/task to work on which you personally would 
like to work on. Because you use it very much/you think it needs work/it 
annoys you/whatever.
