I am merely speaking of my own experience running KDE CVS as the *system-wide* 
KDE in the months before 3.2.

Yes, I know NOW that I was suffering from a lack of clue, but I've had it 
happen.  I think I even had a problem caused by simply having some .la files 
in my KDE directory. :-/

That's why I highly encourage a single-user KDE CVS build.
