Not here, sorry.

But just to help you narrow down the problem: it compiles here.

* CUPS-1.1.23 (yours is a snapshot release from  SVN for upcoming 1.2 CUPS)
* gcc-3.3 
* SUSE-9.1
* unsermake (for 3.5 branch)
* srcdir != builddir

I did unsermake clean and only get these (unrelated) warnings upon rebuilding:

/home/kdedev/src/kde/KDE/kdelibs/kdeprint/cups/cupsdconf2/cups-util.c:18: warning: no previous prototype for `cupsGetConf'
/home/kdedev/src/kde/KDE/kdelibs/kdeprint/cups/cupsdconf2/cups-util.c:221: warning: no previous prototype for `cupsPutConf'
