Too bold fonts.

The fonts used when printing is determined on one hand by the
application that requests the font and on the other hand by
the system (in this case, the Qt library) that provides the font.
This is not controled by kdeprint. Maybe some font substitution
also takes place when printing. If you can read PS, you try to
print to a PS file and look if the fonts used in the PS are those
you expect.
If it's not already enabled, you can also try to enable font embedding:
"kaddprinterwizard --kdeconfig" -> section "Fonts".
