kprinter cli and preview

Hi,

this issue has come up before. A quick search in the list archives, for
example, showed up a thread from 2002
(http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-print&m=103661712527872&w=2).
The problem is, kprinter does not offer a preview when invoked from the
command line. As far as I understand this is, because it can not be sure,
whether the input is PS.
Now, most of the time, when using kprinter, I do indeed want it to print some
PS input, and a preview option would be nice. One suggestion in the thread
referenced above, was to add a command-line option along the lines of
"--trust-me-input-is-ps-enable-preview-i-know-what-i-am-doing". This was
turned down since a more generic approach was said to be in the pipe.
Well, this discussion took place more than two years ago, and the problem
still exists. If the generic approach has proved problematic, could we have
the command line option as a quick solution, please?

Thanks!
Thomas
