I don't think samba is involved. The problem apprears when listing printers
and/or retrieving printer complete informations (driver, ...). This only
implies communication with the CUPS server. I'm deeply convinced this
kind of problem is related somehow to network configuration: it must be
a connection request that times out (which can be very long).
As long as I can't reproduce it, I'm cannot help much.
