But, if you distro doesn't do what needs to be done, have you considered
switching distros? You don't have to be put off Linux or KDE because of this
issue. You could just be put off Arch.

Finally, and again, this has been this way for manymanymanymanymanymanymanymany
years. I don't think arguing about this further on bugzilla is going to help a
lot. We just have to either do it, or wait for those who can to do it (or offer
incentives to help motivate those who can).
