It seems to me that this "duplex printing" bug is not getting enough attention.
The truth is that less experienced users are simply not printing in duplex. I
know what I'm talking about - I have two high-school kids and a wife who are
using KDE. They all waste a lot of paper, and each time I notice, I explain
over and over again that they are supposed to click on this darn check-box each
time they want to print. From a non-developer point of view, this bug is
embarrassing for KDE - it should be easy to fix (now, admittedly I don't know
what I'm talking about), but it's not being addressed. Even if the idealistic
approach is to say this should be fixed in QT, this might not be the right way
to deal with it. In particular, when such an (alleged simple to fix) bug makes
it on the Top Ten list of the Most Hated KDE Bugs, I wish a more pragmatic
approach would be applied.
