This is already possible, but needs to be enabled/supported by each individual
application, as only the app knows how to render the selection.  For example
Kate/KWrite support this.  If there are particular apps that do not have this
ability please lodge wishlist bugs against those individual apps.  I believe
konqueror/khtml already has an open bug for this.
