Ok, if the other bug is a duplicate of this bug, something funny is going on.
I'm using the same (manufacturer-provided) ppd for CUPS now that I used in KDE
3.5, CUPS is set to not print duplex by default, the printer is internally set
to not print duplex by default, and yet, whenever I print from a KDE
application, it prints in duplex, long-side, regardless of what setting I
choose in the KDE print dialog. I am printing to a Brother HL-5250DN. All
non-KDE apps (evince, openoffice.org, iceweasel, etc.) act as they should,
printing duplex only when I tell them to print in duplex. This is most
definitely a regression from KDE 3.5, as KDE 3.5 printing was nearly perfect in
every way with my printer.
