This would probably be best supported by allowing "4-" and "-4" in the Print
Range with KDEPrint then filling in the missing part of the range using the
preset min and max to get "4-20" and "1-4".  I believe this is how windows does
it.

Anyway, KDEPrint in KDE3 is unmaintained and will have no more new features
implemented.  This request will never be implemented in KDEPrint as a result.  

In KDE4 we use the Qt Print Dialog which does not support advanced Page Ranges,
a feature request has been made to Qt for this to be added.
