I agree with Sergio.
Manual duplex is not an easy thing to do on a multi-user system such as Linux,
not without involving CUPS too.
Printing even/odd pages is much easier to do from the KDE-perspective.

Manual duplex is a thing that should be implemented by CUPS and only then
enabled in KDE; printing even/odd pages is a thing that can be done directly by
KDE so i would suggest to get this working first.
