I have installed the new distribution AUROX 12.0 that features  CUPS 
V1.2.X (synaptic tells 1.1.2.2-1.8.0 ) Postscript L3 V 3010(81502) and 
MIRACLE ! What I have been waiting for twelve years happens . Printer is 
selected, (make some noise), starts, prints correctly and goes to rest. 
VOILA!
