Yes, being civil means everyone communicates properly.

I answered to your email because it was the last one on the thread, I was not
specifically pointing to you as the uncivil one, but to the whole thread/
situation.

I did not say that, no.

I was not taking sides in who did what wrong, I was asking for civil
discussion in trying to move forward.

Quoting Volker "Changes like this should be done by an MR (at least one for a
meta-review, not necessarily one per repo). That goes both for the orginal
change and the revert."

Volker email has some thoughts about this.

It seems again be that the people involved did not communicate propertly.

This is technical discussion, I only came here to tell people to be civil

But since I'm here anyway, I do not think that you can say that using
-DCMAKE_LINKER_TYPE=MOLD or -DUSE_MOLD_LINKER=OFF is comparable.

CMAKE_LINKER_TYPE is a cmake variable and so people can use in every single
cmake project out there, it is "easy" for people to remember or find
documentation about it in the internet.

USE_MOLD_LINKER was/is kdepim specific so it is hard for people to know it
exists.

Which would have been solved by using a MR.
