I worked on a kirigami/plasma mobile version of KMail codenamed Kolibri. For the
moment, it's just read-only so very basic. (You can take the screenshot from the
plasma mobile blog post)

Aside from that, I wrote a tutorial about how to use Akonadi to create an
application: https://develop.kde.org/docs/akonadi/using_akonadi_applications/
It's an update to an old KDE4 tutorial.
