Hi,

as a workaround you can for now change the authentication method in the IMAP 
resource settings to use "PLAIN" authentication method instead of the "Gmail" 
method. If you use 2FA, you will have to generate an app-specific password in 
your Google account settings.

The request to approve Gmail access has been submitted weeks ago, but so far 
no response from Google...
