can I change default sending account via DBUS ?

I have the problem that when I'm connected to the company network via VPN, I can only reach their SMTP server,
and when not in VPN, I can no longer reach that server.
So is there a DBUS interface for kmail (or which one is the right component?) to change the default sending account
so I can implement a script which adapts this when I enable/disable VPN ?
