That's great! Welcome!
What part of kdepim do you want to contribute to? Or, asked differently,
what KDE PIM applications are you using? In my opinion, it's most
motivating to contribute to an application you are using yourself.

Did you already get the source code? Did you already build it? Are you
already using your self-built kdepim?
If you have mastered those steps, then I suggest to try to tackle
something that you would like to change in kdepim? Maybe there's a small
bug that's bothering you. I think that at least at first it's much more
satisfying and motivating to fix bugs that are bothering oneself than to
fix bugs that only occur for other people.
