Hello everyone

As reported in bugs #325727 [1] and #331432 [2], which I experienced
myself (Debian Stretch, kdepim 4.14.10), pimsettingexporter doesn't
correctly work and cannot be used as expected.

Considering this, I would like to know:

 - if there are plans to solve these grave issues in near future
 releases;

 - if there are alternatives or recommendation by you on how to
backup/export kdepim settings otherwise (if possible avoid the
trivial answer "backup your home folder").

About the second point, I know it is a topic already discussed here and
there but it would be really useful to have an updated, tested and
documented procedure. If it already exists and I didn't see it please
forgive me.

Also, because the backup and restore activity is crucial and
those two bugs are affecting long since kdepim 4, which is still
present in many distros, it would be advisable to discuss
the current limitations of this tool in the documentation (manual,
docs.kde.org).

Thank you and best regards
Francesco
