Hi,
I'm trying to compile and run the KF5 PIM version to help you test it.
I'm running inside a KDE4 session under konsole with su to another user
(I did this also in the past which worked).
Whenever I try to start "akonadictl start", it results in a failure:
...
/usr/bin/mysqlcheck: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/akonadi-kdetrunk.26hJXs/mysql.socket' (2) when trying to connect
Failed to verify database server version
Query error: "MySQL server has gone away QMYSQL: Unable to execute query"
Database error: " "
"[
0: akonadiserver(_Z11akBacktracev+0x36) [0x67bbb8]
...
full log attached.
For whatever reason, mysqld stops (it's not running afterwards)
I would be very glad for some hints what to check to get PIM up and running.
P.S: this is on openSuse 13.2 with Qt 5.5.1
I have compiled/installed akonadi and all other PIM stuff to /home/KDE4/ (yes, misleading name...)
and set (tcsh):
setenv KDEDIR /home/KDE4
setenv KDEHOME $HOME/.kde4
setenv KDEDIRS "$KDEDIR"
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH $KDEDIR/lib64
setenv XDG_DATA_DIRS /home/KDE4/share:/usr/share
setenv XDG_CONFIG_DIRS /home/KDE4/etc/xdg:/etc/xdg
setenv QT_PLUGIN_PATH /home/KDE4/lib64/plugins/:/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/
setenv PATH $KDEDIR/bin:$PATH
--
Best regards/Schöne Grüße
Martin
